Don Giovanni

In working with young singers I often use small "tricks" that can help to get a good result in a faster and more effective way. Italian is a very musical language, sometimes you just need to listen to a well-spoken dialogue to understand what is the right length of the vowels and the right strength to give to a consonant within a sentence and apply it also in the sung text. I therefore often suggest to my students to watch quality Italian comedies. Et voilà that often the phrasing becomes the right one in a short time ... it's a kind of magic!
